Trooper Frankie Williams #7953
End of watch: December 5, 2016

Today the New Jersey State Police family must endure yet another tragic loss of a bright and promising trooper who lost his life while serving the citzens of New Jersey.

Trooper Williams was highly respected by his peers, establishing himself very early in his career as an outstanding trooper able to think quickly on his feet and make sound decisions. Just this past August, with just six months on the job, Trooper Williams rescued a dog that was locked inside of a car with only a cracked window on a hot summer day.

Without hesitation, he broke the car window with his expandable baton and removed the dog from the car. He then brought the dog, which was suffering from heat stroke, to a shaded area, pouring water over the its body to cool it down before giving it water to drink.

His actions were commended on our social media accounts on August 8. He performed his duty more like a six-year veteran than a 6-month rookie.

At this time, detectives are continuing to investigate the cause and circumstances of the crash and make next of kin notifications to the family of the other victim. We will provide updated information about the investigation and funeral arrangments as they become available.

Godspeed brother. We'll take it from here...

We Support our Brothers and Sisters in blue.

Our organization was formed as the Beachwood First Aid Squad in 1942. Our mission is to serve the emergency medical needs of Beachwood and Pine Beach areas. The squad responds to the approximately 3.47 sq miles, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our members are all volunteers who devote countless hours of their time to the community. Between responding to numerous emergency calls, our members are constantly training to acquire the skills necessary to provide superior service and high level of care the township has come to expect.

Beachwood First Aid would like to thank all of the residence of Beachwood and Pine Beach for the generous support throughout the years. Being a volunteer organization we rely heavily on the support and donations of the community.
